Travelers looking to beat the winter blues can take advantage of new and additional routes this winter with Air Canada.
The airline announced last spring that it would offer new flights from Toronto to Monterrey and Fort-de-France as well as new flights from Montreal to La Romana and Los Cabos.
Overall, Air Canada is offering 8 percent more sun capacity versus its 2019 pre-pandemic schedule and up to 50 percent more capacity from Vancouver to Mexico, Miami, Phoenix and Las Vegas.
“We are seeing strong, ongoing interest for winter leisure travel, and as the leading carrier from Canada to popular sun destinations with up to 683 weekly flights planned this winter, we are thrilled to add exciting new services from Toronto and Montreal to the Caribbean and Mexico and significant increases from our Vancouver hub in response to pent up demand. With the most flights to choose from coast to coast this winter to popular leisure sun destinations and convenient travel package options through Air Canada Vacations, customers can begin booking their vacation to their preferred destination now,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President, Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada.
The new Toronto – Monterrey, Mexico, flights will operate year-round with Air Canada serving as the only Canadian airline to offer flights between Canada and Monterrey, Mexico’s third-largest metropolis and a hub of commercial interests as well as historical culture, art and architectural attractions. Flights have been timed for convenient connections between Monterrey and Europe through Air Canada’s Toronto global hub.
Toronto-Monterrey flights depart Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 6 p.m., arriving at 9:35 p.m., starting October 29, 2023. Return flights leave Monterrey at 10:05 a.m. and arrive in Toronto at 2:55 p.m., starting October 30.
The Air Canada flights between Toronto-Fort-de-France, Martinique, are seasonal, beginning December 16, 2023. The Toronto flights complement Air Canada’s existing service to the destination from Montreal, giving the airline a total of seven weekly flights to Martinique.
Toronto-Fort-de-France flights depart at 8:15 a.m. and return at 3:25 p.m.
Air Canada’s seasonal flights between Montreal and Los Cabos, Mexico, complement service from Toronto and Vancouver. Flights leave Montreal at 8 a.m., landing at 12:40 p.m. and return at 1:40 p.m. landing in Montreal at 9:05 p.m.
The airline also flies seasonally between Montreal and La Romana, Dominican Republic, starting December 17, 2023. Flights depart Montreal at 9:10 a.m., landing at 3:10 p.m. and return flights depart at 4:10, landing at 8:05 p.m.
