SEATTLE – Washington men’s soccer looks to re-enter the win column as they head to San Diego State for the second to last match of the season on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. at the SDSU Sports Deck.
 
The Huskies enter the matchup with a 5-6-5 overall record and 2-4-2 in Pac-12 action.
 
PAC-12 RECORD WATCH
Sam Fowler has a chance to become the Pac-12’s all-time leader in both career shutouts and GAA (goals against average). He enters his senior campaign second on the Conference’s clean sheets list (28), two behind Spencer Richey’s Pac-12 record of 30.
 
HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
Since 1997, the Huskies have posted a 181-66-21 overall record at Husky Soccer Stadium, winning at least eight matches in 13 seasons including a 10-1-2 mark in 2013. Last season, the Huskies set a new program record for single-match attendance when 3,876 people came to see Washington take on Seattle U in the Fewing Cup (formerly the WAC/101 Club Cup).
 
ROAD DAWGS
Dating back to the 2021 season, the Huskies are 15-2-6 on the road in the regular season.
 
SPREADING THE WEALTH
The Huskies have seen 13 different goal scorers this season accounting for 20 goals. Six Huskies – Mani Diop, Harrison Bertos, Charlie Kosakoff, Nick O’Brien, Sean Sent and Jack Maguire have all scored their first career goals this season. In addition, eight Huskies have made their first career starts this season – Harrison Bertos, Cooper Brunell, Joe Dale, Mani Diop, Mark Gallagher, Charlie Kosakoff, Jack Maguire and Nick O’Brien.

SCOUTING THE AZTECS
San Diego State sits at 6-4-4 on the season and 0-4-2 in conference play. Austin Brumett leads the team in goals (7), points (17) and shots (29). Alexander Levengood is the team leader with seven assists. The Aztecs opened the season on a seven match unbeaten streak, their first loss coming against the Huskies (3-1) in Seattle.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Washington leads the all-time series against San Diego State 27-7-8 and is on a current five match winning streak over the Aztecs. The Huskies have won 12 of the 13 matchups with the lone loss coming in 2021 in San Diego.
 
UP NEXT
The Huskies have a bye weekend next week before closing out the regular season at Oregon State on Thursday, Nov. 9. Kickoff from Corvallis is set for 7 p.m. on Pac-12 Networks.
