Stay healthy! The things you should NEVER do, according to a dermatologist

  • Use flushable wipes
  • Apply natural deodorant
  • Utilize space heater or heating pads
  • Pick or chew at your warts
  • Walk outside without shoes

She captioned the clip: ‘Nothing gives me the ick more than seeing people walk barefoot through the airport.’

In her video, the dermatologist began by discussing what you shouldn’t do when you have warts.

‘I would never pick at or chew on any warts that I may have,’ Dr. Jean added.

She explained that warts were caused by a virus and picking at them can cause them to spread – making things worst.

‘Warts are caused by the HPV virus and can be easily spread when you pick at them. And can result in multiple warts from just one wart,’ she added.

Dr. Jean revealed that she had treated multiple patients who chewed on their warts and then developed them on their mouths.

The dermatologist said you should use over-the-counter medicine called Compound W to get rid of warts.

She noted that covering warts with duct tape helped as well.

The medical expert also revealed that she should never use natural deodorants because they were made with essential oils and fragrances that could trigger rashes

Next, she dished on the dangers of heating pads.

‘I would never use heating pads or space heaters for a prolonged period of time,’ she said.

The dermatologist added that it can result in ‘permanent discoloration and in some cases can also cause some skin cancers to form within that rash.’

Then, Dr. Jean advised users about the dangers of using disposable wipes.

‘I would never use any kind of flushable wipes, especially when cleaning down there,’ she said.

She noted that the ingredients in the wipes could trigger allergic reactions.

‘It contains fragrances as well as preservatives that are known contact allergens. The itch can be unbearable,’ the dermatologist explained.

The medical expert also revealed that she would never use natural deodorants because they were made with essential oils and fragrances that could trigger rashes.

Instead of relying on natural deodorant, Dr. Jean said you should use benzoyl peroxide.

Lastly, she told viewers to never walk outside without shoes on.
