PM Modi’s vision of Amrit Kaal (the Golden Era) and India @ 100 has stirred a hornet’s nest both domestically and globally. Domestically, the political opponents of the Modi Government fear permanent loss of power if Modi’s vision fructifies successfully and Bharat attains its rightful place as the Vishwa Guru (the world leader). The country is moving in the right direction with record breaking achievements in economic growth, empowerment of have nots, digital transactions, space exploration, aatm nirbharta (self-dependence), military and social reforms. The opposition parties with differing ideologies and disparaging views about each other have got together to form a pre-electoral alliance called I.N.D.I. Alliance with the sole aim of BJP Harao, Modi Hatao (Defeat BJP, Remove Modi). Globally, the countries that enjoyed supremacy in global affairs till now are worried and scared of the challenge being posed by Bharat. They are aggressively trying to counter Bharat’s challenge to status quo. The monumental success of Bharat’s presidency of G20 and a unanimous Delhi Declaration despite the doubts expressed by many nay sayers has further aggravated their fears. The inclusion of African Union (AU) as 21st member of G20 and growing demand for trade in Rupee has added fuel to the fire.
Amrit Kaal is the time for Bharat to move ahead and for its citizens to work hard, remain united and committed to fulfill the vision to create a prosperous and inclusive Bharat where the benefits of development are accessible to all. It also aims at bridging the gap between rural and urban areas while ensuring gender equality. According to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman , “Achieving this vision requires participation through Jan Bhagidhari (everyone’s participation) under the banner of Sabka Saath Sabka Prayas.” The government’s desire and intention are inclusive and not exclusive. But efforts are being made by the opposition to divide the nation through fear mongering and creation of false and fabricated narratives.
The main cause of worry is the commonality of interest between the global inimical agencies and the domestic opportunist alliance. There appears to be a common script with many players. Extensive use of different forms of media is being made to foment trouble exploiting numerous fault lines that exist in our vast conglomeration. The ideology of separatist movements operating from foreign soils are being propagated by the leaders of the opposition alliance. One of the prominent leaders of the alliance had not only made statements about the threat to democracy back home but also alleged the Sikhs being as “second rate citizens” while addressing gatherings in a foreign country. The after-effect of that is being felt in the on-going Indo-Canada standoff. The same leader also ignoring the tremendous progress made by Bharat during the ongoing Amrit Kaal, praised China’s Belt Road Initiative and blamed Bharat for not having such vision. His joy was short lived as Bharat came out with the idea of India-Middle East- Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) on the sidelines of the G20 summit. At times it gives an impression that the leader comes out with tutored statements scripted by those who are either jealous of Bharat’s growth and progress or those who are our enemies and want to halt Bharat in its tracks through psychological warfare or through disruptive methods. IMEC has great strategic importance. It bypasses Pakistan, the bad boy in the region, and breaks its veto over Bharat’s overland connectivity to the West. Pakistan has used this leverage against Bharat on numerous occasions in the past.
The attempts to destabilase Bharat during its march ahead in the Amrit Kaal will continue unabated with both the international and domestic forces working towards a common purpose. Why Modi has become an eyesore of all the anti-Modi lobbyists? Modi does not succumb to any pressure when it comes to National Interest. He is hard working, visionary and guided by the philosophy of reaching the last man in the line. Through schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) and reduced subsidies he has plugged loop holes that were being used to generate black money and fill personal and party coffers of the so-called elite leadership. The personal political fiefdoms made by many so-called influential families who believe in hereditary politics to ensure the supremacy of their families have either been shut or badly marginalized by Modi through empowerment of ordinary but dedicated citizens. This challenge to their unchallenged authority so far has hurt them very badly. In nut shell, in his effort to cleanse the political system at home and uncompromising stand taken for Bharat’s interests he has made many enemies globally and at home.
Congress divided the nation in 1947 on religious basis for the lust of power of a person who wanted to become Bharat’s first Prime Minister and architect of its destiny. The partition of the sub-continent is acknowledged as the worst human tragedy ever leading to the largest migration of human population. Hindus and Sikhs, the worst sufferers of this decision, soon became the victims of the appeasement policy followed by the Congress party in their chosen home land. Congress developed the mantra of achievement to remain in power at the cost of the members of majority community who were struggling to come out of the adverse effects of partition which had made many penniless. It made appeasement synonym with secularism. The next PM gave the slogan of Garibi Hatao and, failed miserably. She introduced caste ridden politics. Her son inherited the premiership following a sympathy wave but met his waterloo due to Bofors scandal. His government set the trend of scandals and cronyism. The next PM introduced reforms and was disowned by the Party. Sonia – Manmohan era was the era of remote-control politics and scandals galore. Bharat’s global image nosedived during this era.
Now in a desperate last- ditch attempt to crown another member of the Nehru-Gandhi family, in order to exploit the Nehru legacy and pre-partition Congress, the Kharge Congress is trying to divide the country once again on a caste basis. The desperation is so deep that having given unconditional support to Women’s Reservation Bill in both the houses of the Parliament, it is building an anti-bill narrative by raising the issue of reservation for OBCs.
Let the nation go to hell but a scion of the Nehru family must be crowned at any cost is the effort of Kharge Congress. The so-called Mohabbat ki Dukan (store of love) is nothing but Batware ka Ahawan (Clarion call for the division). Are the people of Bharat so naive? Let’s unite to defeat the nefarious designs of the Kharge Congress and I.N.D.I. Alliance and strengthen the hands of PM Modi to fulfill his vision of Amrit Kaal.
