Directed by Atlee, Jawan features South Indian stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in prominent roles, portraying the protagonist’s love interest and nemesis, respectively. In addition to Shah Rukh Khan, the film also stars Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani in pivotal roles.

Mukesh Chhabra, the casting director of Jawan, revealed in an interview that it took over a year to complete the casting for the film. He explained, “More than a year was spent on it. We had to find new people, and get everyone on board on given dates. We had to block them for more than 100 days so the coordination also takes a lot of time. All big films take time, again I mention the example of Dangal and Dunki, or PK and Sanju. Your work can’t be done within three months.”
