IIT Rankings: IIT Bhilai did not manage to get a spot in the list of Times Higher Education (THE) rankings in 2024 and in QS World University Rankings 2024.
JEE Advanced 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai is one of the 23 IITs in India and was established in 2016. The institute, for the first time, has been placed in the top 100 in the Education Ministry’s National Institutional Ranking Framework in the engineering category.
IIT Bhilai did not get a spot in the Times Higher Education (THE) rankings in 2024 and QS World University Rankings in 2024.

IIT Bhilai ranks 81st in the engineering category of NIRF 2023 rankings by scoring 73.09 in teaching, learning and resources (TRL) out of 100, 13.54 in research and professional practice (RPC) out of 100, 65.54 in graduation outcomes (GO), 59.29 in outreach and inclusivity (OI) and 8.26 in perception out of 100.

IIT Bhilai offers BTech, MTech, MSc and PhD programmes in various departments. The institute started functioning in August 2016 with the introduction of BTech programme.
IIT Bhilai currently offers six UG programmes in computer science and engineering (CSE), data science and artificial intelligence (DSAI), electrical engineering (EE), mechanical engineering (ME), materials science and metallurgical engineering (MSME) and mechatronics engineering (MT).
The institute also offers MTech programmes in bioengineering, electric vehicle technology (EVT), CSE, DSAI, thermal and fluids engineering (TFE) and MT.
