In case you haven’t heard just yet, Jennifer Lopez is getting ready for a major comeback. In addition to releasing her long-awaited new album, titled This Is Me… Now, the singer also has an accompanying movie coming out on the same day on Feb. 16. And while all these releases might mean Lopez is all the internet talks about in the next few weeks, she might not be releasing anything similar anytime soon.
Talking to Entertainment Tonight on a recent red carpet, Lopez opened up about potentially taking a break from music (at least for now). “The truth is I don’t even know if I’ll ever make another album after this,” Lopez admitted. “It’s such the kind of quintessential kind of Jennifer Lopez/J. Lo project and I really feel very fulfilled.”

The idea that she’ll take a break, however, hasn’t been discussed with her team just yet. “Don’t tell Benny [Medina] that that’s what I’m thinking,” she said of her talent manager.
“I feel like it’s the end of a kind of an era for me and the beginning of a new one, so I would never say never, but right now I feel like I really put my heart and soul into this and I’m very excited and it definitely took a lot out of me,” she explained.
She continued, “It’s a project that I’ve worked on for a while now and it’s finally coming out so I’m super excited and am ready to share it.”
Lopez’s new projects will undoubtedly give fans a glimpse into her life over the past few years. “I was very inspired to make the music at this point in my life, with all the amazing things that have happened to me in the past couple of years,” she said, hinting at her 2022 marriage with Ben Affleck.
“Once the music was done I thought ‘Okay, this is very special, I want to do something special’ and so I created this cinematic experience and that kind of was just born from being in the studio and realizing that the music, although it told a beautiful story, didn’t tell the whole story,” she said.
