Metropolitan Magistrate R M Shaikh had found several proofs hinting at Javed’s offenses. But, reportedly the songwriter’s lawyer, Jay Bharadwaj, submitted an exemption please which mentioned that he has an urgent medical situation of an extended family member who needs his presence and so he won’t be able to attend the hearing on August 5.

Kangana Ranaut’s lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee opposed the exemption and highlighted a similar instance during Javed’s complaint hearing against Kangana. He urged for a bailable warrant against the Bollywood lyricist.

However, Jay Bharadwaj argued his statement and highlighted the difference in the situation. Replying to him, Rizwan stated that Javed intentionally neglected the court’s hearing. As per India Today, he said, “Intentionally failed and neglected to appear before this court. Therefore, in the interest of justice and equity, it is prayed that a bailable warrant be issued against the accused to compel his appearance on the next date.”

After listening to the arguments from both parties, the court gave its decision to keep Kangana’s plea on hold. This decision gave Javed a chance to obey the bail procedures on his next hearing.
