Kentucky Wildcats Football: National Signing Day Live Blog and News

UPDATE 8

It looks like Kentucky is done for the day. Here’s the list of signees put out by the school.

And their final signings:

Kentucky was potentially going to land Mississippi State transfer corner DeCarlos Nicholson, but for now, he’s not committed anywhere.

UPDATE 7

Kentucky has officially signed 4-star defender Brian Robinson, who is ranked 77th nationally by Rivals and 81st by ESPN.

Here are UK’s latest high school signings:

And here’s an interesting note on tight end Jordan Dingle, who briefly was in the transfer portal before Kentucky was able to reel him back in.

UPDATE 6

Here is Mark Stoops’ National Signing Day press conference via UK Athletics.

UPDATE 5

Kentucky did manage to pull in a new offensive lineman, as Florida transfer Jalen Farmer just committed to the Cats!

Farmer joins Cam Dooley and Jalen Dumas-Johnson as Signing Day additions to Kentucky’s 2024 recruiting/transfer class.

And more good news! Willie Rodriguez has signed with Kentucky, despite a late push from the Auburn Tigers and Tennessee Volunteers. He actually visited Tennessee this past weekend.

Rodriguez is someone Kentucky has been very high on, so this is great to see.

Kentucky actually beat out the Vols for both Rodriguez and Farmer, so those are two big wins for the program.

UPDATE 4

Kentucky was hoping to flip 4-star lineman Jonathan Daniels from Florida State, but he just signed with the Noles, so no bueno.

Also, in some bowl-related news, Kentucky will reportedly not have starting offensive linemen Jeremy Flax and Kenneth Horsey vs. Clemson. However, Jordan Dingle and Andru Phillips are set to play.

UPDATE 3

Kentucky just landed what was easily one of its biggest commitments of the 2024 recruiting/transfer portal cycle, as former Georgia All-American Jamon Dumas-Johnson just committed to the Wildcats!

HUGE.

UPDATE 2

There will be no flip with Rico Scott, who has officially signed with Alabama.

Kentucky was working hard to flip Scott from Alabama, but good luck to any school trying to pull off a flip from Nick Saban while he’s got the Tide in yet another College Football Playoff.

UPDATE 1

The first wave of signings are in, and the newest addition is 4-star safety Cam Dooley.

Here is everyone UK has announced thus far:

So that means Kentucky has officially signed the Dooley, the Smith twins, Cutter Boley, Hardley Gilmore, and Quaysheed Scott, all of whom have a 4-star rating in at least one recruiting service.

Happy Wednesday, BBN!

Let the craziness begin… National Signing Day is upon us, and it’s shaping up to be a good one for the Kentucky Wildcats.

Cutter Boley, the 4-star QB from Lexington Catholic Academy, has confirmed that he’ll be officially signing with UK at KSBar at 4 pm ET. That is open to the public, so make it out if you can!

Other recruits expected to sign with Kentucky today include:

  • 4-star DL Jerod Smith
  • 4-star EDGE Jacob Smith
  • 4-star EDGE Brian Robinson
  • 4-star CB Terhyon Nichols
  • 4-star DB Quaysheed Scott
  • 4-star RB Jason Patterson
  • 4-star WR Hardley Gilmore
  • 3-star TE Willie Rodriguez
  • 3-star WR David Washington Jr.
  • 3-star RB Tovani Mizell
  • 3-star OL Marc Nave
  • 3-star LB Devin Smith
  • 3-star EDGE Antwan Smith
  • 3-star ATH Jiquavious Marshall
  • 3-star OT Aba Selm
  • 3-star OT Hayes Johnson
  • 3-star EDGE Caleb Redd
  • 3-star EDGE Steven Soles
  • P Jacob Kauwe

A big one to watch is current UK tight end commit Willie Rodriguez, who just visited the Tennessee Volunteers and could be on flip watch, but the Vols just landed another tight end on Tuesday night, so hopefully, that’s a sign Kentucky keeps him.

It’s going to be a fun day, to say the least, so be sure to come back here, as we’ll be updating you on all the moves from NSD!
