Kylian Mbappe ‘tells PSG he WON’T leave the club under any circumstances’

Kylian Mbappe has told Paris Saint-Germain that he will not be leaving this summer under any circumstances, according to reports.

The France captain remains in a stand-off with the club over his failure to sign a contract extension at the Ligue 1 champions.

On Tuesday, the club began to tear down a large poster of the star at the Parc des Princes stadium, after first sentencing him to play with the club’s ‘B team’ and not selecting him to take part in PSG’s pre-season tour of Asia.

Mbappe’s shirt has also been removed from the club shop, as the hierachy in Paris attempt to force the 24-year-old to accept a permanent deal or loan move that would see the club get some return on their £250million asset.

As per Sky Sports, the 24-year-old is set to be frozen out by PSG, and the player will not play until the end of his contract in 2024, when he is thought to be in favour of a move to Real Madrid as a free agent.

One point delaying Mbappe’s extension of his current deal is said to centre around the club’s transfer policy.

Mbappe is thought to feel disappointed by transfer decisions undertaken by the club further to his signing his latest deal in the summer of 2022, namely the failure to bring Robert Lewandowski and Bernardo Silva to the French capital during that transfer window.

Instead, the Poland international joined Barcelona from Bayern Munich, and Silva remains at Manchester City – despite heavy interest from both PSG and the Blaugrana.

PSG are determined to be resolute in their decision to keep the player on the sidelines should they fail to force him on elsewhere, in a show of strength.

The Qatari-owned side believe that no one player should be bigger than the club itself, despite the power that Mbappe wields as a result of his unique deal.

Tensions have been rising between the two parties for some time, with things coming to a head as the club attempted to dispatch their wantaway player to Saudi Arabia, brokering a world-record £295million move for Mbappe to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.

The World Cup winner then refused to hold talks with the club, rejecting the chance to meet representatives in Paris despite PSG’s keeness in the deal going ahead.

As Mail Sport reported on Friday, the feud between Mbappe and PSG is thought to be so toxic that new head coach Luis Enrique is considering leaving the club just one month after his appointment.
