Lehigh Announces 2024 Lacrosse Schedule

BETHLEHEM, Pa .- Lehigh men’s lacrosse has announced its 2024 schedule, which features a total of 14 games. The Mountain Hawks will be battle tested with eight road games, five home games at the Ulrich Sports Complex and one neutral site game. 

The Mountain Hawks will open up the season against a familiar foe in Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J., on Feb. 3. Lehigh and the Scarlet Knights last met in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2021. 

Following the season opener, the Mountain Hawks will have two more road games, starting with a matchup against Fairfield for the second consecutive season on Feb. 10 and a second straight road game at Cornell on Feb. 17.

Lehigh’s game against Cornell will be one of two straight games against an Ivy League opponent.  Lehigh will play a neutral site game against Dartmouth on Feb 26 at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.

The Mountain Hawks will host Villanova in the home opener on March 2 before opening up Patriot League play against Navy at home on March 9. 

The following Saturday, Lehigh will head north to take on Army on March 16, which will be a rematch of the 2023 Patriot League semifinals. 

Lehigh returns home to the Ulrich Sports Complex on March 23 against Bucknell before hitting the road again for two straight games, beginning with a matchup at Loyola on March 29. Lehigh will wrap up the non-league play at Princeton on April 2. 

The Mountain Hawks will wrap up the season with four Patriot League games, starting with a game at home against Holy Cross on April 6 before heading to Hamilton, N.Y., to take on Colgate on April 13. Lehigh hosts Boston University on April 20 in a nationally televised game on CBS Sports Network before closing out the regular season at Lafayette on April 26. 

The Patriot League tournament begins with the quarterfinals on April 30, followed by the semifinals on May 3, and the championship will be May 5. 

Lehigh returns two All-Americans in Richard Checo and Scott Cole. Cole was also named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year in 2023. In addition to bringing Checo and Cole back, Lehigh also returns 35 players, while bringing in 14 first-years.

The 2024 campaign will also be the first-year for head coach Will Scudder, who was named the head coach on June 19.
