If you’re out and about this weekend, perhaps you’re stopping off at the Pen-Y-Cae Inn in Powys which is a pub with its own zoo. Built and managed by the pub’s landlord, Anthony Christopher, the micro-zoo boasts meerkats, pygmy goats, wallabies, parma wallabies, several species of bird and, thanks to its full zoo licence, Japanese red-crowned cranes.
