Flooding hits main railway line
Great Western Railway warns that the line between Swindon and Bristol Parkway is closed because of flooding.
This will affect services between south Wales and London. Live updates here.
The rail company says: “Due to heavy rain flooding the railway between Swindon and Bristol Parkway, this line is closed. Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 40 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.”

Boy, 11, has been missing overnight
Police are searching for an 11-year-old boy who has been missing overnight. Marley is believed to be riding a bright red Giant brand bike.
The boy, from the village of Tumble, in Carmarthenshire, was last seen in Bethesda Road at about 6.30pm yesterday. More detail here.

Met Office forecast for Thursday
It will be “mostly dry”, yes mostly dry with some bright or sunny spells. Here is the full forecast for Wales today:
A largely fine day with sunny periods and just the low chance of a shower first thing. Sunshine turning hazier through the afternoon. Light winds. Temperatures close to average for January. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Largely dry this evening with cloudier skies in the south, clearer spells in the north with some showers. Turning colder under the lighter winds with a patchy frost. Minimum temperature 0 °C.
