Louisiana Tech introduces program to help future educators | News

SHREVEPORT, La. – Some future teachers went on a field trip today.

Louisiana Tech University brought them to visit Bossier and Caddo Parish schools.

Leaders of the program at Louisiana Tech said it’s all about getting their students prepared for the classroom and showing future educators what it is really like to be a teacher.

They visited multiple campuses on both sides of the river. The program will help the students get the experience that they need and exposing them to what their day in the classroom will be like.

“At Louisiana Tech we want to prepare students to be successful in the classroom. Our team motto that we use that connects our residents with our public schools is really important to us because we feel it puts students in the best opportunity to be successful in the classroom,” said Dustin Whitlock, assistant professor of LA Tech.
