The RCMP are warning Fort Saskatchewan residents about an armed man in Pineview.
Officers issued an emergency alert late Sunday morning about a dangerous person, 32-year-old Trevor Chykerda, who is a suspect in a firearms-related incident and believed to be in Pineview armed with two guns.
Around 1:15 p.m., RCMP said they were at a residential complex at 99 Avenue and Highway 15.
Residents in the area were told to shelter in place. They should stay inside, lock doors and windows and should not approach Chykerda if they do see him.
RCMP asked residents not to report on police locations or to share or post pictures of officers on social media.
