Mark Zuckerberg braids daughter’s hair with help from Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses

Mark Zuckerberg was seen wearing a pair of Meta’s smart glasses and asking the AI technology to help him. “Hey Meta, how do you make a braid?” he inquired.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg took to Instagram a few days ago to share an adorable video featuring one of his daughters. In the clip, he was seen braiding his daughter’s hair by taking some help from Artificial Intelligence (AI). He was seen using Meta’s newly-launched Ray-Ban smart glasses and the video has gone viral.

Zuckerberg was seen wearing a pair of Meta’s smart glasses and asking the AI technology to help him. “Hey Meta, how do you make a braid?” he inquired. The AI voice then gave him step-by-step instructions: brush the hair, separate it into three parts, cross the right section over the middle, then the left and continue.

“Well, here goes nothing,” Zuckerberg said while successfully braiding his daughter’s hair. The entire clip was recorded by the video-recording feature in the glasses. He also asked AI to click a picture of the same and send it to his wife Priscilla Chan on WhatsApp.

“Finally learned to braid. Thanks, Meta AI,” read the caption of the post.

Since being shared online, the video has amassed close to two million views.

The company launched the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in September in partnership with EssilorLuxottica. The new glasses feature improved audio and cameras, over 150 different custom frame and lens combinations, and they’re lighter and more comfortable, according to Meta.

One can use the glasses to go live on Facebook and Instagram and use “Hey Meta” to engage with Meta AI, the advanced conversational assistant, just by using one’s voice.

The glasses were made available for purchase online and in retail stores starting October 17.
