In Original Equipment, monthly demand in Europe remains well oriented on a still favourable basis of comparison. In China, demand is confirming its rebound, fuelled by government subsidies and buoyant export sales of new vehicles. On the basis of particularly unfavourable comparisons, the North American market is still occasionally penalized by the consequences of the strike among manufacturers.
In Replacement, global demand sees its strongest monthly rebound since February 2022, and is positive in the three major regions for the first time since the same date. This trend is mainly explained by the end of the Distribution destocking, as well as a winter season that seems more sustained than in 2022 at the same time, combined with a quite significant non-pool effect on the month, particularly in North America.
