The highlight of the Windows 11 2023 update is the new copilot, backed by OpenAI’s large language model GPT-4. The copilot on Windows 11 provides access to various generative AI tools like DALL·E 3 for free.
The copilot, which is still in preview mode, assists users with a variety of tasks, including auto-organising windows, summarising web pages, drafting content, and has also been incorporated into the Snipping tool, allowing users to edit and resize images with a single click. Microsoft’s built-in Clipchamp app now allows users to edit photos and videos like professionals.
Microsoft’s mail app, Outlook, also receives an overhaul with the Windows 11 2023 update. It now supports coordination with various accounts and helps users write clear and concise emails. The update also makes it easy to create Windows backups and restore them from the cloud. To enhance security, the Windows 11 23H2 update also adds native passkey support.
