The New York Jets lost homegrown pass rusher Bryce Huff to the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency.
Now, New York and Philadelphia have agreed to a deal for the Jets to acquire the Eagles’ top edge rusher themselves.

Pro Bowl edge rusher Haason Reddick has been traded to the New York Jets for a 2026 conditional third-round pick. Part of the conditions are that Reddick must play 67.5% of the snaps and 10 or more sacks. Should those metrics not be met, the pick would stay a third-rounder.
Over the last five seasons, Reddick has totaled 52 sacks – fifth-most across the NFL for players at his position. At 29 years old, the Temple and Camden, New Jersey native was entering the final year of his contract with Philadelphia. Now, the Jets are expected to give Reddick the long-term extension he had been looking for in the near future.
Reddick joins a young pass rush with former first round picks Jermaine Johnson and Will McDonald, alongside All-Pro defensive tackle Quinnen Williams. As the Jets prepare to try and improve on their 7-10 mark last season, they have added another Pro Bowl player to their already elite defense.
