Novatek PJSC’s gas-condensate terminal at the Russian port of Ust-Luga on the Baltic Sea was ablaze early Sunday, Leningrad region Governor Alexander Drozdenko said in a post on Telegram.
The governor did not elaborate on the cause of the fire but local media outlet Fontanka said drones attacked the facility at 3:20 a.m. local time. Russia’s Defense Ministry hasn’t reported any attacks on the Leningrad region at the weekend.
