Police arrested a person Tuesday afternoon after a pursuit led across the southern suburbs of Baltimore.Baltimore County police told 11 News that officers were called around 8:25 a.m. to the 9000 block of Iron Horse Lane in the Garrison area for a report of a stolen vehicle.Baltimore City police told 11 News that Regional Auto Theft Task Force officers found a stolen vehicle around 12:30 p.m. in the area of Maryland and West North avenues. City police said the vehicle fled onto Interstate 83 into Baltimore County.County police said its aviation unit surveilled the stolen vehicle as it traveled through multiple jurisdictions. Exclusive SkyTeam 11 video recorded around 1:15 p.m. showed the car speeding along roads, including the Baltimore Beltway and Route 10.At one point, the car crashed into the side of a Maryland Transit Administration Mobility bus. The car then stopped at a gas station, where the driver was seen trying to get gas before speeding off.”That is unbelievable to me. I can’t imagine you had the whereabouts to think you’re going to run out of gas and stop,” bartender Karen Fleishmen said.Video below: Car crashes, driver stops for gas during police chaseFleishmen was working at AJ’s Pub across the street when it all went down.”I heard a helicopter and I had about six or eight people in here. We were just looking around. I caught it out of the corner of my eye, there’s a little window out that door. I saw a white car pulling out,” Fleishmen said.The suspect could be seen driving off with the gas nozzle still in the vehicle.SkyTeam 11 reported that the car ran out of gas in the 6100 block of Cold Mill Road in the Sparrows Point area, where the driver got out, tried to run and was taken into custody.County police said a firearm was recovered from the man.No shots were fired during the pursuit, SkyTeam 11 reported.
