Ogeecheeton community fight: residents allege neighboring Savannah business of creating pollution

Ogeecheeton residents say Savannah Auto Exports, the business next door to their community, is creating environmental hazards.

Members of the Ogeecheeton neighborhood say their community is at risk. They accuse the business next door to the community, Savannah Auto Exports, of creating environmental hazards.”They are in violation of a city ordinance. They have been operating their business on residential property, they’re property goes all the way to the back, and they are in violation. We have sent email after email to the city about the violation and they have yet to get a citation,” says Johnnie Mae Law, a property owner in Ogeecheeton.Savannah Auto denies any wrongdoing.The city of Savannah is working to fix the problem.
