Overwhelming Amount of Tourists in Europe

It’s official. Tourists this summer have overwhelmed European hotspots — Italy, Spain, Greece, the Netherlands, and France.

It’s elbow to elbow crowds in Venice and Dubrovnik. And in Greece, it’s like this in Santorini and Athens.

And local resources are being strained, ranging from legendary attractions to the number of bathrooms.

In Greece, the government just announced it will now limit the number of daily visitors to the Acropolis, starting next month.

But before you breathe a sigh of relief, the new limit being imposed by the Greek government is 20,000 visitors a day! You might want to wait until November.
