LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — After 78 years in business, a family-owned car wash in Louisville is saying goodbye.
The owners of Thomas Car Wash have decided to retire effective Wednesday, Jan. 10, according to a Facebook post.
All five locations were transferred to new owners, Whistle Wash, but the Bardstown Road location will remain closed indefinitely.
Current employees will be given the opportunity to stay with Whistle Wash, and customer plans will be transferred to the new company.
Single-wash tickets and gift cards under the Thomas Car Wash name will also be accepted through the end of the year.
