Police investigation closes BWI-Marshall terminal roadway

The airport terminal roadway is shut down Wednesday afternoon amid a police investigation, Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport officials posted on social media.A 3:10 p.m. post on X, formerly known as Twitter, said vehicular traffic approaching the airport is being held. Those in the terminal are advised to remain in place.An 11 News source at the airport described the airport as shutdown and said he saw Maryland Transportation Authority police officers take a man into custody.Video from SkyTeam 11, Baltimore’s only news helicopter, showed a portion of Aviation Boulevard blocked of as well, and planes were seen taking flight.The Maryland Transit Administration said at 3:30 p.m. that Light Rail service has been suspended at the airport.
