Preity Zinta is one of the renowned Bollywood actresses in the industry. She might be away from the films, but the diva often grabs the headlines with glimpses from her personal life. As per the latest reports, the actress is going to receive an honorary doctorate from Birmingham City University.

The actress will be given this honour for her stupendous contribution to the entertainment and business world. Preity Zinta will be a part of West Midlands to help in Diwali celebrations.

Reacting to the news, Preity Zinta is very grateful for this recognition and said, “It is a great privilege to receive an honorary doctorate from BCU. Business and media chime so well with my career.”

She further added, “I’m very excited to be part of the Diwali celebrations in Birmingham and look forward to meeting all the wonderful people there- marking the Festival of Lights together.”

Praising the actress, the Mayor of Birmingham said, “I am delighted to welcome Preity Zinta to our vibrant area. We are excited to lead their Diwali celebrations. His upcoming honorary doctorate from BCU is a testament to his hard work and efforts in contributing to Bollywood and business.”

However, recently, she reportedly bought property worth Rs 8.2 crore in Bandra. The apartment comes with a carpet area of 1,474 sq ft and is located in the posh locality of Pali Hill and comes with two reserved parking spots. According to the documents, the actress paid Rs 85.07 lakh as stamp duty for the apartment. Preity purchased the property in the same building where she used to live before her marriage in 2016. Post her wedding, she had moved to Los Angeles.
