Prince William has returned to royal duties for the first time since his father King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, and his wife Kate Middleton’s surgery.

The Prince of Wales, 41, hosted a star-studded investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Wednesday morning, where he handed out more than 50 honors on behalf of his ailing father.

Charles, for his part, begins outpatient cancer treatment this week.

The event marked the first time William was seen in public since news of the monarch’s diagnosis came to light Monday.

William, who is the president of the Football Association, bestowed honors upon several soccer athletes, including former England footballer Ellen White.

“Honoring amazing people doing incredible things in our communities up and down the country,” the official Instagram account for the Waleses captioned images from the ceremony.

In the evening, the father of three is expected to attend a gala fundraising dinner for London’s Air Ambulance Charity as the organization’s patron.

The soiree is set to take place in London, where his estranged brother, Prince Harry, is currently staying in a hotel following his mad dash from California to his home soil on Tuesday.

While William has made a defiant return to the royal fold, he is still very much focused on caring for his wife and their children following her abdominal surgery.

The heir to the throne was last seen leaving the London Clinic on Jan. 18 after visiting the Princess of Wales, 42, following her planned procedure.

Middleton was whisked away to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, where she was reunited with her family.

She will continue recovering there behind closed doors until after Easter.

Prince Harry, for his part, touched down in London Tuesday afternoon and immediately went to see his ailing father upon arrival.

According to reports, the pair’s meeting lasted around 45 minutes.

Despite having countless royal residences at his disposal, the Duke of Sussex opted to stay at a luxury London hotel that’s open to the public, according to reports.

A source told the Daily Mail that Harry, 39, would have “gladly accepted” a meeting with his estranged brother Prince William — had there been an invite.

“The Duke’s primary reason to travel to the UK is to visit his father. If the opportunity were to arise to see the Prince of Wales then the Duke would have gladly accepted it,” the insider said.

King Charles’ former butler Grant Harrold exclusively told The Post Tuesday that Harry is no doubt feeling “worried” about his father’s ailing health, and his whirlwind trip to London is his way of “showing support.”

Harry is expected to head home to Montecito, Calif., in the coming days, where Markle currently remains with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The “Suits” alum, 42, decided not to join her husband on his urgent trip because she felt it’s “something he has to do alone,” Harrold told The Post.
