Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw has joined the viral sensation of “looking like a wow” trend with a Vande Bharat Express twist. This trend, initially popularised by a boutique owner Jasmeen Kaur, who showcased her dresses on livestream and videos and while showing one of her creations said “so beautiful, so elegant, just looking like a wow”.

It went viral and has now found its way into social media and everyone seems swayed by the trend.

The Indian Railways also joined the trend by sharing the same image. “Blue and Tangerine #VandeBharatExpress. So beautiful, so elegant, just looking like a wow! Location: Vellayil Station in Thiruvananthapuram- Kasaragod section of Kerala,” Railways tweeted.

The Vande Bharat Express, initially known as Train 18, is renowned for its modern design, speed, and passenger comfort. These semi-high-speed trains have significantly reduced travel times on key routes.

Kerala got its first Vande Bharat train in April. The train passes from 11 districts including Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Pathanamthitta, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod. The second Vande Bharat train for the state was flagged in September.

Vaishnaw, last month, unveiled new concept images of the sleeper version of the Vande Bharat Express set to be a reality in early 2024. This addition to the Indian Railways fleet promises to offer passengers a faster way to traverse long distances overnight.

Each Vande Bharat Express sleeper train is designed for a maximum speed of 160 km per hour and will boast 16 spacious bogies with an impressive capacity to accommodate up to 887 passengers.

The Vande Bharat sleeper coaches will introduce an array of features, including wider berths, brighter interiors, spacious toilets, a compact pantry, and advanced safety provisions. These new trains are expected to exhibit greater energy efficiency and an eco-friendly footprint.

The sleeper coaches embody a classic wooden design, complemented by plush seating arrangements, ambient floor lighting, and enhanced top lights, according to the photos shared on X by Vaishnaw.
