Said to be working from bed after surgery

The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, is recovering from a planned abdominal surgery but will not abandon her duties to her subjects as she works from home under doctor’s orders.

Concerns arise about Kate Middleton’s health after complications in the postoperative phase

Middleton is expected to remain in the hospital for 10 days to 14 days as she is nursed back to good enough health to return home, before she then recovers to optimum capacity.

A source told The Times that she is to stay in hospital before being discharged and when she returns to her home, she will continue her duties as expected.

Her surgery was announced by Kensington Palace although they made it clear that it was unrelated to cancer before providing additional details.

“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate,” a statement read. “She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.

“Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share.

“The Princess of Wales wishes to apologise to all those concerned for the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements. She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible.”

Kate’s health is important to the future

The daughter-in-law of King Charles III is a key component in the future of the Royal Family as she is married to the heir to the throne, Prince William, and is the mother of their children.

All of her children will be directly in-line to the Crown until Prince George grows up to have his own children, then they will shuffle down the order as happened with King Charles‘ other siblings, who fell behind William and Prince Harry and their children.

Thus, if the family ever lost the future Queen of England, it could be thrust into chaos as they attempted to navigate life without her.

The death of Queen Elizabeth II, in 2022, had exposed some weakness and fragility once the matriarch passed away, notably between King Charles III‘s two children, Harry and William, who are distant over the former’s decision to abdicate royal duties.
