After revealing its launch plans last week, Samsung has launched two new lower mid-range smartphones in India: Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A25 5G. The phones have been available in other markets, including Vietnam, for a few weeks now. Both smartphones feature a new design language, 50MP primary cameras, and big batteries.
Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A25 pricing in India
The Galaxy A15 5G and the Galaxy A25 5G can be purchased from Samsung India’s online store, but their availability hasn’t been revealed yet.
The Galaxy A15 5G is priced at INR 19,499 for the variant that has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs INR 22,499. The phone is available in three colors: Blue, Light Black, and Light Blue. Samsung has priced the Galaxy A25 5G at INR 26,999 for the version with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs INR 29,999. It is sold in three colors—Light Black, Light Blue, and Yellow—in India.
Galaxy A15 5G specifications
The Galaxy A15 5G sports a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, 800 nits of peak brightness, and Vision Booster technology. It is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage, and a microSD card slot. The phone runs Android 13 out of the box and will get four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates.
It has a 13MP camera on the front. On the rear, it has a 50MP primary camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The front and rear-facing primary cameras max out at 1080p video recording at 30fps. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint reader (embedded into the power button), GPS, 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Samsung has equipped the Galaxy A25 5G with the Exynos 1280 processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB internal storage. The microSD card slot can be used for storage expansion by an additional 1TB. The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. It runs Android 13-based One UI 5.1 and will get four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates.
On the front, the Galaxy A25 5G has a 13MP selfie camera. On the rear, the phone has a 50MP primary camera with OIS and VDIS (EIS). It also features an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The front-facing camera maxes out at 1080p video recording at 30fps, while the primary rear camera can go up to 4K video recording at 30fps. The device has a fingerprint reader embedded into its side-mounted fingerprint reader.
The Galaxy A25 5G has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and Vision Booster technology. Connectivity features of the phone include a dual-SIM card slot, 5G, GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also features stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos audio.
