Siddique Ismail, a Malayalam director, had a severe heart attack yesterday afternoon. Today, he passed away. The filmmaker was 69. The industry is in shock and mourning his demise.

Siddique was receiving treatment on Tuesday night when he passed away in spite of medical efforts. The filmmaker is survived by his wife Sajitha, his three kids Sumaya, Sara, and Sukoon, and their three grandchildren.
The funeral for Siddique will take place in Kochi on Wednesday at 6 o’clock.
Siddique Ismail Passes Away
According to reports, Siddique’s health was very critical. Since the news of Siddique’s heart attack surfaced, his followers have been expressing concern for him on social media. Siddique was undergoing medical care for pneumonia and liver illness, according to multiple media reports. Even though the Big Brother director took the meds as prescribed, he suffered a major heart attack and died on Aug 8.

Siddique Ismail is well-known for directing popular Malayalam films like The Godfather, Big Brother, Maaro, Bodyguard, and so forth. He directed his first major motion picture, Ramji Rao Speaking, a Malayalam production, in 1989. Big Brother, an action thriller released in 2020 and directed by Siddique, features Mohanlal, Arbaaz Khan, Anoop Menon, and Honey Rose in significant parts. It was his final venture.
