INDIANAPOLIS — As last-minute shoppers flooded stores Saturday, those shopping at Circle Centre Mall had a chance to support local small businesses.
Kamilah James, a local entrepreneur, organized a small business showcase to help support some of the local shops around Indianapolis.
James says that when she opened her first small business, it took a while to learn how to get access to showcase events and where the best places are to share her items.
“We small businesses need to lift each other up because we struggle,” said James. “We’re struggling now. It’s very difficult to maintain a small business.”
James says she wants to be a resource for people starting the same small business journey.
“These types of events just assist in boosting small businesses and their revenue,” said James.
