At least one person was detained after a police sergeant was shot by a suspected carjacker on Wednesday morning, according to authorities.One other person may have possibly also been detained, police said. The suspected vehicle was located in the area of Coventry Drive and Hillsboro Way.The suspect led officers on a chase when the sergeant tried to stop the vehicle. The chase ended in the area of Gateway Court and Kentfield Road, where the driver got out of the vehicle and ran away.At some point during the foot chase, the police sergeant was shot somewhere in the chest or shoulder area.
