Tech News Today in India: The OnePlus 12 and the OnePlus 12R are launching globally on January 23, and ahead of the launch and the complete specifications of both smartphones have leaked online, revealing all the prominent features of the upcoming OnePlus smartphones. Jio announces a new Happy New Year recharge plan with over one year of validity.

    OnePlus 12R leaks, specifications

    According to leaks, the upcoming OnePlus 12R will be based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the same chip that also powers the OnePlus 11. However, the OnePlus 12R is likely to be significantly cheaper than the OnePlus 11. Not just that, it is also reported that the OnePlus 12R will include a massive 5,500 mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging, however, the device might miss out on wireless charging capability. The OnePlus 12R is said to include a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution, and in India, the device might cost around Rs 40,000.

    Jio Happy New Year 2024 recharge plan

    Jio has announced a Happy New Year 2024 recharge plan for its prepaid subscribers, which offers over one year of validity. The plan costs Rs 2,999, and as a part of the New Year celebration, Jio offers 365 days and an additional 24 days of validity with 2.5 GB of 4G data per day, unlimited calls, and unlimited 5G data access. This plan costs less than Rs 8 a day and users will also get access to 100 free SMS per day.

    Vi’s latest annual recharge plan includes Prime Video subscription

    Vi announces a new annual recharge plan, priced at Rs 3,199 with 365 days of validity, which also includes an Amazon Prime video subscription. The plan offers 2 GB of 4G data per day, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS per day. Users can also access unlimited 4G data between 12:00 am and 6 am. Do note that this plan includes the Prime Video mobile edition, which can only be used on smartphones and tablets and costs Rs 599 a year.

    Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger has hinted that the company could create a chip with over 1 trillion transistors by 2030. Right now, the company makes chips with over 100 billion transistors. According to Gelsinger, Intel could achieve this using new technologies like 3D packaging, and 2D transistor materials.
