The Big East Camping and Outdoor Sports Show Returns to Central New York | News

WHITESBORO, N.Y. — The Big East Camping & Outdoor Sports Show returned to Central New York for its 31st year, in a new location, Saturday.

This year’s show is taking place at the Accelerate Sports Complex on Judd Road in Whitesboro.

The show is for everyone who loves camping, fishing, boating, hiking—just about anything you can do outdoors.

There were hundreds of vendors on hand with all the latest outdoor gear.

There were also numerous free seminars, including ones on how to track deer. Even one on big foot.

The beast of the east archery tournament also returned for its fifth year, with a guaranteed minimum payout of $4,000.

“Camping has really changed over the years,” says Deborah Kessler of Kessler Promotions. “You can go as elaborate as having the flat screen TV, to basically hooking it up behind your ATV and just having a place to sleep in. There’s a lot of different things to see here, as well as boats that are on display, plus over 100 vendors that are exhibited here.”

The Big East Camping and Outdoor Sports Show wraps up Sunday.

It runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission is $9 for adults; seniors 55 and older and military and first responders $7; children 6-12 are $3. Children 5 and under are free.
