Paid Subscription To Windows 10 Available After Support Ends

Microsoft has revealed plans to launch an Extended Security Update (ESU) program for Windows 10, extending support beyond the operating system’s end in October 2025. Following a model similar to the Windows 7 ESU program, Microsoft will provide continued support for three years beyond the 2025 cutoff for users choosing to subscribe to it. Jason Leznek, a member of Microsoft’s Windows Servicing and Delivery team, mentioned in a blog post, acknowledging that circumstances may prevent users from transitioning to Windows 11 before the end of support date.

Kaspersky, IIT Delhi Join Hands For Cybersecurity Talent Development

Cybersecurity company Kaspersky and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) have signed an agreement to engage in joint cybersecurity research and educational initiatives at the institute. The partnership involves the exchange of knowledge and expertise, the development of educational materials, the organization and promotion of cybersecurity awareness events, and the sponsorship of academic awards or prizes to encourage IIT Delhi students to pursue careers in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and cybersecurity.

ED Files First Charge Sheet Against Vivo-India, Others

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday filed its first chargesheet in the money laundering investigation, implicating Chinese smartphone maker Vivo and others, said a report by news agency PTI, citing undisclosed sources. The prosecution complaint has been filed before a special court in New Delhi under the criminal sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and Vivo-India has been named an accused apart from those arrested in this case, the report added.
