Two drivers have been issued fines after committing traffic offences in the Yorke Peninsula.
A woman has been caught drink driving at Thrington on the Yorke Peninsula yesterday.
About 2pm on Sunday 17 September, a Yorke Mid North Highway Patrol stopped a Kia sedan on the Copper Coast Highway just east of Kadina after it was detected travelling at 115km/h in a 100km/h speed zone.
The driver, a 46-year-old woman from Kadina, was submitted to a breath test where she allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.058.
The woman was issued with an expiation notice for speeding and drink driving, along with a six hour driver direction notice not to drive.
On 5 September, Police saw a motor vehicle on Harry Butler Road that didn’t have any registration plates, windows or lights.
Police conducted follow up enquiries at a Yorketown home and identified the car’s owner. The motor vehicle was established to be a dirt circuit racing car.
The 43-year-old Yorke Peninsula man was issued with an expiation notice totalling $2084 for driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle that didn’t comply with Australian Motor Vehicle Design standards.
