New flights from Delhi, Varanasi & Jaipur to Khajuraho | Bhopal News

BHOPAL: Finally, the long-pending demand of improving air connectivity to the World heritage site of Khajuraho has been addressed. The exquisite temple town will have three new flights to Jaipur, Varanasi and New Delhi from October 29.

At present, there is only a lone flight between Delhi and Khajuraho, complicating travel plans for visitors.
As per the schedule, Alliance Air will start flights from Khajuraho to Varanasi and Jaipur. Flights 9I 607 and 9I 608 between Khajuraho and Jaipur will operate four days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday). The 9I 707 and 9I 708 Varanasi-Khajuraho flights will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

IndiGo flight 6E 2361 and 2232 will fly daily between Varanasi and Khajuraho. SpiceJet has added Varanasi to its Khajuraho-New Delhi connection.
Khajuraho airport director Santosh Singh said the airport has great potential.
Rise in monthly footfall likely with new flights
We are hoping to increase the monthly footfall from 3,600 to 15,000 with the new flights ,” said Singh. Union aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia recently inaugurated three Flight Training Organizations in Khajuraho.
