Monk Fruit in the Raw is a natural monk fruit sweetener that is sugar-free, keto, gluten-free, zero-calorie, low-carb, and vegan. This sugar substitute has a low glycemic value and is non-GMO certified. A one-pound bag is $7.98.

It is listed as Amazon’s Choice and has 4.6 stars overall. One reviewer said, “I researched and ordered this specific Monk Fruit Sweetener after a friend told me that it was better for Diabetics than Stevia or Truvia. I ordered it, even though it seems REALLY EXPENSIVE for me. I tried it for the first time in a bowl of brown cooked rice with pumpkin pie spices and some instant powdered skim milk. It tasted just great, very natural with no bitter aftertaste at the time, or hours later when some sweeteners come back to attack.

I did feel that I had to use much more of this sweetener for that good taste than I ever have with Stevia or Truvia. I have never kept a sugar bowl out for use for myself as my Dad was a type 2 diabetic. I try my best to eat everything as naturally as possible. I also have Celiac Disease and GERD, so being careful is a must. I WILL be ordering this Monk Fruit in the Raw from now on, in order to avoid additional chemicals and sugar additives that can cause other health problems as well as stimulate the appestat centers that trigger sugar cravings.”

However, this product does have high reviews on Amazon. Leslie Zingale said, “I love this sweetener!! I have diabetes so I have to watch what sweetener I can or cannot use in my coffee or tea. I did my research and I saw that this sweetener, I can use. I was a little leery about trying something that I never even heard about so after reading the other reviews I decided to give it a shot. I was very surprised at how good it is! To me, it’s just as good if not better than sugar! Take it from someone who LOVES their sweets!”

Autumn Rain left a review saying, “I was in the market for lower calorie/sugar maple syrup. I tried numerous lite maple syrups or sugar-free ones and they all had such an off-putting aftertaste. This syrup has zero aftertaste, tastes like maple syrup, and a little goes a long way. I’m very pleased with my purchase.”

5. Greeniche

Greeniche 100% Pure Stevia

Greeniche 100% Pure Stevia packets are natural, zero-calorie, vegan, and keto. For 100 packets, it costs $9.99. This is on the lower end for sugar replacements!

Paul H said, “This Stevia is 99.8% pure with the tiniest amount of Erythritol and Silicon Dioxide. Initially, when the news came out earlier this year referencing Erythritol and Blood Clots, I was cautious on any sweetener that I purchased which contained it. After doing a good amount of research on sweeteners I learned that each packet of Greeniche Stevia contains less than 2 MICRO grams of Erythritol and the whole box of 100 packets which lasts me several months contains only 0.2 grams of Erythritol. Considering that one regular serving of Erythritol is 4 grams and only half as sweet as one of these tiny packets, you know where I am going with this… ( 2000 packets or 20 boxes of this Stevia has an equivalent amount of Erythritol as a single teaspoon of regular Erythritol sweetener).

I don’t have to say how much I love this stuff, it is the perfect sweetener. Each tiny packet is as sweet as a large heaping teaspoon of sugar and there isn’t any of the regular Stevia aftertaste. I use this in drinks and cooking primarily, but have not tried to bake with it. One or two packets will slacken the acidic tastes from tomatoes in a large crock pot full of spaghetti sauce.”

Listed as Amazon’s choice, this product has good reviews. One customer said, “This is easily the best of the stevia-type sweetener products I’ve used so far.
The taste is sweet enough, it mixes in iced tea really well, and on top of all the most obvious plusses, it’s also the best price I’ve found so far for a sweetener I like the taste of. All without the gross chemical taste or bitterness a lot of stevia sweeteners have (IMO)

Another really good product from MicroIngredients in my view.”

One reviewer said, “I have tried several brown sugar substitutes and this one is by far the best. The flavor is great and zero calories. There are a couple of other brands with good flavor, but they still contain a mix of table sugar. This one is my favorite and I highly recommend it. The only downside is the packaging. It has that zip-style reseal, but the granules get stuck in there and you cannot reseal the bag.”

I do not use a 1/1 ration just a little less than or it can be too sweet. It gives the flavor I need whether baking or cooking. I would highly recommend this product whether you are watching your sugar intake or not.”
