Body found on Tully Mountain in Orange

ORANGE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -The latest breaking news we’ve been following is in Orange, where police are investigating a body found in the area of Tully Mountain.

Orange Police Chief James Sullivan confirms 2 hikers discovered the body and called police just before 11 Wednesday morning.

Here’s a look at the scene of the investigation when we arrived around 2 p.m. Orange Police, Fire, and Rescue responded alongside Massachusetts State Police who are currently leading the investigation.

We’re told the body was found half a mile down the trail from where police were parked.

Chief Sullivan tells us the scene was cleared as of 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

The Northwest District Attorney’s office can not confirm the identity of the person. They also don’t believe there is any foul play at this time.

We reached out to the state police for more information on the investigation but have yet to hear back.
