THE 28,000 SQUARE FOOT FACILITY IS LOCATED IN ESPARTA. IT OFFERS A WIDE RANGE OF SERVICES, INCLUDING ADOLESCENT AND GERIATRIC HEALTH, DENTAL CARE AND COUNSELING SERVICE, TRIBES LEADERS SAY IT’S GREAT TO KNOW THAT THEY HAVE ACCESS NOW TO A NEEDED SERVICE. Thursday was the official grand opening of Wihne da Puchuma da Kewe, meaning “Medicine and Healing House” in Yocha Dehe’s native Patwin Language.The new health and community center in Esparto is 28,000 square feet. With a history of limited, remote or non-existent services for rural Capay Valley residents, the facility now offers dental, ophthalmic and pharmaceutical services.It also offers a full spectrum of primary-care options, including perinatal, adolescent and geriatric health, as well as preventative health care services through Winters Healthcare.For more, check out the video player above.See more coverage of top California stories here | Download our app.
