Rs 9.1 Crore! BLACKPINK Members To Get Whopping Amount On Renewing Their Contract?

The South Korean girl band BLACKPINK has become the talk of the town amid their contract renewal process. There were rumours that a few members might not renew their contracts with YG Entertainment. The investors asked for an answer from the agency by August 8 at the latest. However, as the group is currently on a world tour, YG Entertainment said that they will have an answer by September. BLACKPINK Members Contract Renewal

As per Pinkvilla, there is no certainty whether they want to renew the contract or not. However, if they do, they will get millions of dollars. There are chances that the size of the down payment will be around 1.5 billion Korean won (1.16 million USD) per member. It means they will take more than 80% of the profit from YG Entertainment. It will be a huge hike as they used to get only 20 – 40% profits earlier and the rest went to their agencies. Several investors said that they will re-evaluate the agency after the declaration of BLACKPINK’s agreement restoration on August 8. They said they won’t wait till September.

The down payment is also quite high and rare. However, BIGBANG and TWICE get such amounts as down payments and so it is possible.
