Kidney and heart damage

Dehydration is one of the major issues one faces while following a keto diet. Following this low-carb diet may lead to loss of electrolytes such as sodium, magnesium, and potassium, which may effect the kidney and the heart.

Diarrhea

People who are on keto diet might find themselves running to the bathroom often. This may happen because of the lack of fiber in the keto diet.

Weight regain

The weight loss that occurs because of keto diet might not be long term as most people find it difficult to stick to such restricted and strict diet plan. And if you let go of the diet, the lost pounds may again find its way back to pile up.

Keto breath

When one starts following keto diet, their body goes into ketosis which leads the body to start producing by-products called ketones, which includes acetone. The ketones are released from the body through exhaling and this breath apparently has a different odour than the common bad breath.
